WhisnapAcceptance and license
By installing or using Whisnap, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, do not use the application. Whisnap grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application on devices you own or control for personal or internal business purposes.
You may not distribute or resell the application, remove proprietary notices, or use it unlawfully. Rights under applicable law and any separately licensed open-source components remain unaffected.
Free and Pro
Free includes unlimited on-device dictation, viewable history and model installation from the catalog, with no account, card or trial. Pro costs €19 once. It includes everything in Free, model chaining, webhooks, history power tools (reprocess, export, search), and CLI integration. There is no recurring charge.
Purchase Pro with an account on the website, then sign in on the Mac app with the same account to activate it. There is no license key. Keep your account secure and contact us about unauthorized access. Stripe handles payment and purchase receipts.
Processing and your providers
Dictation runs on-device by default. Whisnap does not receive your audio or sell hosted transcription. Using your own provider API key is free. Those requests go directly from your Mac to your provider; its terms, privacy policy and billing apply. You are responsible for provider charges and for the destinations and data you configure in webhooks.
Your content
You retain ownership of your recordings and transcripts and are responsible for having permission to record and process the content. Review transcripts before relying on them; transcription may contain errors. You control locally stored history and recordings.
Refunds
For a refund request, contact support@whisnap.com within 14 days of purchase with your purchase email and details. Refund approval is subject to the refund policy and applicable laws. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
Availability and liability
The application is provided as available, without warranties except those required by law. Models and provider services have their own requirements and may change. To the extent permitted by law, Whisnap is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination and changes
You may stop using the application at any time. We may suspend account access for unlawful use or material breach, subject to applicable law. Updated terms will be published here with the revised date.
